Julie Chen Backs Hubby Moonves With Single WordSeptember 14, 2018 10:11am

There was no time for Julie Chen to address the ousting of her husband, CBS chairman Leslie Moonves, in the latest episode of Big Brother on Thursday, but she did offer a clear show of support.

"From outside the Big Brother house, I'm Julie Chen Moonves," the host said in signing off on her first TV appearance since Moonves' ouster over allegations of forced oral sex and physical violence against women.

"Now THAT was a statement ... I've NEVER heard her say 'Moonves' for anything," WLOS reporter Justin Hinton noted, per USA Today. Chen—who previously defended Moonves as "kind, decent and moral"—is expected to soon return to CBS' The Talk, "where she won't be able to avoid the subject," reports Variety.
